Changing the Culture of Discourse

Meta-Culture Dialogics (MCD) endeavors to build peaceable and sustainable communities by changing how people address conflict.

When people disagree, conversation tends to deteriorate into accusations and expressions of frustration. It might even stop all together. When people stop talking, they stop understanding. Empathy becomes impossible. Relationships fall apart. In society, when groups that need to interact in the public space don’t talk, or talk only to antagonize, communities suffer. At the very least there is tension and distrust.

MCD changes how individuals and groups in conflict talk with each other, enabling them to address serious problems constructively. Whether it is a family dispute or a public policy initiative to address an urgent social need, MCD helps people resolve conflicts and collaborate in ways that strengthen relationships, encourage creativity and produce enduring solutions.

MCD is an established non-profit trust registered in August 2006 under section 80G of the 1961 Income Tax Act.

Dialogue for Understanding

Misunderstandings, opposing views about values and beliefs and historic grievances can cause groups of people to view each other with suspicion, disrespect and even hatred. Using impartial methods, MCD helps groups re-connect in ways that improve understanding, develop trust and relieve tension.
