What We Do
MCD is committed to changing the culture of discourse so that people and groups in conflict engage with each other in ways that are non-adversarial and productive. To that end, we use a multi-tiered approach which includes
Intervention, Education and Outreach.
Intervention
MCD’s Intervention methods help individuals, organizations and polarized groups resolve disputes and develop stronger relationships. We also assist organizations and communities to more effectively collaborate on addressing complex public policy issues.
Education
The field of Conflict Resolution as a discipline and practice is relatively new in India. The Intervention methods MCD uses, while common in other parts of the world, are not yet widely known or applied to disputes that touch the lives of Indian people. Through our Education initiatives, MCD works to enhance the Indian population’s awareness of and ability to use constructive methods of handling conflict.
Outreach
Through our Outreach activities, MCD aims to inform the general public about Conflict Resolution as a field and practice.
