Intervention
MCD’s Intervention methods help individuals, organizations and polarized groups resolve disputes and develop stronger relationships. We also assist organizations and communities to more effectively collaborate on addressing complex public policy issues.
Mediation
As impartial mediators, we help disputing individuals seek mutually agreeable solutions without going to court. We mediate disputes within families, communities and organizations . Learn more about the process of Mediation .
Dialogue
As neutral facilitators, we help people with opposing views and beliefs have a conversation to deepen their understanding of each other and discover common concerns. Using a process called Dialogue Facilitation, we build bridges and reduce conflict between groups divided by class, caste, ethnicity, religion, politics and other ideological differences. To date, we have facilitated an Inter-Religious Dialogue and an NGO Dialogue . Learn more about the process of Dialogue .
Consensus Building
As neutral facilitators, we help parties collaborate on mutually acceptable solutions to complex problems. We use a process called Consensus Building to generate agreement within organizations and, more uniquely, to engage multiple groups in collectively addressing challenging public policy issues. Consulting
As consultants, we assist NGO and social sector organizations in two ways. First, we provide meeting management consultation and serve as external meeting facilitators. We also help organizations resolve internal conflicts or conflicts with external stakeholders. Using our unique Integrated Dispute Management System (IDMS), we combine a series of interventions to help organizations identify the underlying causes of conflicts and then develop responsible and effective solutions to address them.
